Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College provides an impressive environment to support learning.  We deliver courses to meet the needs, interests and abilities of adults, as well as an exciting events calendar featuring concerts, drama, lectures, workshops, displays and fairs throughout the year.

We are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join our small HR Team, primarily based at the Parkshot site in Richmond. 

As HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: 

  • being the first point of call for all HR related queries
  • coordinating all aspects of recruitment, including advertising, arranging interviews and carrying out all pre employment checks and inductions
  • HR administration including processing leavers and contractual changes, issuing employee letters, filing and keeping HR systems up to date and liaising with payroll 

Candidates should possess a good knowledge of basic HR processes along with excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise a busy workload effectively. 

A CIPD qualification or experience in a similar HR role would be preferable. You should have good IT skills including MS Office applications, plus excellent time management skills and  attention to detail. Previous experience coordinating recruitment would also be beneficial. 

Supporting the HR Advisor and Director of HR, this is a truly generalist HR role where you will have the opportunity to get involved with all aspects of the HR function.
