RHACC is a Specialist Designated Institution for Adult Learning, providing a varied course offer to support the lifelong learning goals of adults. With daytime, evening, weekend and residential courses across two main campuses and in outreach venues, RHACC is able to meet a broad range of needs, and creates pathways to work and wellbeing. 

Please note - This role is concerned with teaching on courses for LLDD learners based at centres in the London Borough of Merton. 

We are looking for Sessional Tutors to teach in Merton on our LLDD courses: excercise, dance and drama. The roles are concerned with teaching on courses for LLDD learners. The courses will be offered at these locations; Raynes Park Library and the Jan Malinowski centre. We have a need for tutors in the following subjects -  Exercise, Dance and Drama. Courses are scheduled on different days of the week. Courses will run term time only across the academic year starting in January 2021. Previous teaching experience on LLDD provision – pre-Entry courses - would be an advantage. You should also be familiar with RARPA procedures and how to work with learners to write ILPs with SMART targets and support the learners to achieve their individual targets. 

As well as subject specific experience and qualifications we expect applicants to hold a minimum teaching qualification such as the PTLLS. You should have some experience of teaching on pre-Entry provision. As per our Tutor Training and Development strategy, it is desirable for you to have DTLLS /PGCE / Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent as well as a relevant Level 3+ qualification in the vocational subject.

As a part-time tutor you will be expected to complete the administration associated with these courses. You will be expected to attend team meetings once a term during an academic year for which you will be paid. There will be a number of cpd opportunities through the year to enable you to upskill as a professional tutor and the college would expect you to attend a number of these training sessions.
