About this role

The role is primarily to support SEND learners on courses based at centres in the Parkshot & Hillcroft. The courses on which we need the support are scheduled across the week. Courses will run term time only across the academic year. If you are successful at interview, you can opt to work one or more of those days  or perhaps simply one 2.5 hour session per week. This will depend on your skills, interests and background as well as our needs.

We will assign you to a group of learners depending on your background, experience and qualifications. As part of this role, you will be expected to help prepare resources for the learners and assist the tutor in supporting the learners in the classroom. You will need to take instructions from the class tutor in this role.

Please note, you must attend team meetings once a term during an academic year for which you will be paid. If you are dependable and interested in this work and have relevant qualifications and experience, please do apply for this role. Please do indicate on your application which subject area you would prefer to support – this may be more than one area. Please indicate your availability – you may be interested in working over a number of days or only available for one day for example. We expect applicants to have a background/experience of working in a support role. You should also have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.

So, if you are knowledgeable, dependable and interested in this work and have relevant qualifications and experience, please do apply for this role. We will be taking on a number of staff with different specialisms and abilities. Please do indicate on your application which subject area you are interested in supporting– this may be more than one area and if you can, please also indicate your availability; for example, you may only be available to work on particular days/times.
