About the Role

Working as part of the Skills for Life team, you will report to the Programme Manager for Science. You will be teaching 8 Environmental Science units on Access to HE Environmental Science Diploma.  The duties will include course planning, preparation, marking homework and classwork, marking assignments, giving feedback to learners and course administration including monitoring and supporting learners to complete PLPs. You may also support with providing advice and information about Environmental Science courses to a range of learners. You will also be involved in internal moderation and standardisation activities.

You will work with your colleagues to ensure high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

About You

As well as a degree which shows that you have the knowledge to teach Environmental Science (Environmental Science degree or similar), applicants should hold a full teaching qualification and have experience of teaching Environmental Science. Previous teaching experience within an adult setting and teaching on an Access to HE Diploma would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
