The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the development the College’s Finance function. You will have energy, resilience, a strong financial background and vision.
Managing a team of 5 staff, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the finance function, including payroll, and will lead on providing support to budget managers. You will be a good written and verbal communicator who is confident in establishing interactions with senior managers and other stakeholders. The post holder will be a key member of the College Management Team.
About you
Reporting to the Vice Principal (Finance & Resources) you will provide leadership and guidance to the Finance team. You will have comprehensive experience in a finance role, ideally in an education setting.
You will be a self-motivated and ambitious leader who will be able to take on the challenge of developing the Finance function of the College to ensure positive service delivery to all stakeholders.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent management and administrative skills and a strong understanding of the FE sector.
You will be expected to act as an advocate and ambassador of the College, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage operational pressure in a busy environment with a positive, flexible approach.
