RHACC is a Specialist Designated Institution for Adult Learning, providing a varied course offer to support the lifelong learning goals of adults.   With daytime, evening, weekend and residential courses across two main campuses and in outreach venues, RHACC is able to meet a broad range of needs, and creates pathways to work and well-being.

We are seeking to appoint a number of variable hours Learning Support Workers to work on our LLDD courses based in different sites across the London Borough of Merton. 

You will support learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities as well as needs including low confidence, mental health difficulties and physical disabilities. You will be expected to encourage them to achieve and progress with their life and learning goals.   Courses are run on weekdays and cover a wide range of subjects including arts and crafts, well-being, and horticulture, English and Maths and ICT.  

About you

You should have a minimum of Level 2 English and Maths.  The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with a wide range of different people and ability levels, good communication skills, patience and a positive and supportive manner.  A support work or teaching assistant qualification would be an advantage, but this training can be provided for the right candidate.  


Various hours and working patterns are available, and this can be discussed at interview.
