RHACC is a Specialist Designated Institution for Adult Learning, providing a varied course offer to support the lifelong learning goals of adults. With daytime, evening, weekend and residential courses across two main campuses and in outreach venues, RHACC is able to meet a broad range of needs, and creates pathways to work and well-being.

We are seeking experienced Tutors to teach on our Level 2, 3 and 4 Counselling courses. As a Part-time Tutor, you will join our bank of teaching staff and will be offered courses, as and when, that match your area of expertise. Part-time Tutors work closely with Programme Managers in designing, planning and delivering courses which stretch and challenge our learners, as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options, attending termly meetings and completing course administration relating to Internal Quality Assurance.

The successful candidate will be a BACP accredited member. Candidates will be undergoing continual professional development as per the BACP requirements, and also will be educated to Diploma level in Counselling, with significant post qualification experience including supervision. 

Applicants should have experience of agency work as well as private practice. 

In addition to counselling experience and qualifications, applicants should hold a minimum adult teaching qualification (Education & Training Level 3) and have delivered Counselling courses, preferably CPCAB courses. Applicants should also have experience of assessing work in line with Internal Quality Assurance processes and hold qualifications in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance. 

Applicants should be familiar with the integrative model of theory as well as other models such as Freud and Rogers.
