RHACC is a Specialist Designated Institution for Adult Learning, providing a varied course offer to support the lifelong learning goals of adults. With daytime, evening, weekend and residential courses across two main campuses and in outreach venues, RHACC is able to meet a broad range of needs, and creates pathways to work and well-being.

We are looking for a part time (0.5FTE) Tutor to join Foundation Learning to assist with the delivery of English provision within the college. This is an established teaching role which will include teaching on a range of courses. The duties include course planning, preparation, development and administration, providing information and guidance to a range of learners, marking homework and classwork, developing and implementing teaching strategies, preparing students for internal and external assessments and carrying out assessment and verification of exams. Please note, this role requires you to commit to approximately 12 hours teaching per week during term time. 

The successful candidate should have experience of teaching a range of classes up to and including GCSE Level in the Further Education sector and hold a relevant degree alongside a recognised teaching qualification. Good IT skills are a must along with the ability to communicate to a variety of people, analyse information and produce clear and concise reports. You should also be familiar with a (learner) tracking resource such as eTrackr. You will be an experienced tutor; you will have experience of delivering the new GCSE English (Language) syllabus. Experience of working on RARPA based courses and experience of teaching on community based English courses would also be an advantage as would experience of working with learners with mild or moderate learning difficulties. We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors who can work evenings.
