About the role:

As an established staff member, you will be part of the teaching team who work on our accredited Level 2, 3 and 4 counselling qualifications, as well as non-accredited and introductory courses related to counselling and mental wellbeing. Working closely with the Programme Manager for Care and Counselling, you will design, plan and deliver an exciting range of courses which stretch and challenge all learners. You will prepare a variety of learning materials, provide guidance to learners on progression options, attend regular meetings and complete administrative tasks related to quality assurance. You will also be involved with learner recruitment processes for example, initial assessment, learner interviews and college open days. 

About you:

A graduate in any subject, and a qualified counsellor (minimum Level 4), you will have, at least two years’ experience of, client and supervision work. Ideally, you will hold a full adult teaching and/or assessor’s qualification and have experience of teaching counselling qualification courses. If you do not currently hold a relevant teaching qualification, you will demonstrate a genuine interest, enthusiasm and willingness to achieve this. The successful candidate/s will undergo teacher training and participate in a range of teaching opportunities, in order, to achieve a full teaching qualification (Diploma in Education and Training) within a given timeframe. You will be an accredited member of the BACP.
