Richmond Art School provides contemporary, purpose-built art and design facilities for people of all abilities. We want our students to learn from expert tutors and develop their creativity for personal enjoyment or to forward their creative careers. 

We are looking for an experienced Filmmaking Tutor to deliver across a range of leisure courses with very good practical knowledge to provide a vocational, interactive and multi-disciplined delivery of course content. You will have a degree in a related subject and a Level 4 teaching qualification. 

We require a Tutor who has experience of exceptional planning, teaching and assessment, who can differentiate and provide an inclusive learning environment where equality and diversity is paramount in the development of teaching and learning resources. A successful candidate will have experience of working in industry that can be used to inspire and influence their learners on their individual creative journey. Experience of online teaching would be advantageous or an ability to adapt and be flexible in your approach. Experience of using Microsoft Teams or Zoom for teaching purposes or a willingness to learn is essential.

You will be supported to achieve at RHACC, all Tutors are entitled to one free training programme per academic year and receive a full remote or on-site induction by HR and your Line Manager.

As a Variable Hours Tutor you will be required to pick up hours where needed. However, we will endeavour to work flexibly with your schedule if we have the capacity to do so. 

Hours are variable and cover daytimes, evenings and weekends. Variable Hours Tutors work closely with Programme Leaders in the designing, planning and delivering courses which stretch and challenge our learners as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options, attending termly meetings and completing course administration. You will have the opportunity to pitch your own ideas for new courses and help shape the Creative Industries provision. Please include your availability throughout the week in your application.

About the College
